Description
The Multi-Process Workhorse
The POWER MIG 360MP is a professional-grade multi-process welding system. It can perform Stick, TIG, MIG, and Flux-Cored welding. Advanced features like MIG and TIG Pulse Welding, Ready. Set. Weld. setup, ArcFX technology, and Memory Capability are all accessible on the color display. It's intuitive and easy to use.
Ready. Set. Weld. Quick Setup
Setting up and checking settings and advanced options is a breeze with this machine. The 7-inch LED screen is interactive and easy to follow during setup. You can adjust all three processes easily with the push-and-turn digital controls. It can weld 4XXX and 5XXX series aluminum using Pulse Processes. You can feed aluminum in three ways - Push Gun, Spool Gun, or a Push-Pull Gun.
Pulse-on-Pulse Mode
When MIG welding aluminum, it uses a sequence of varying pulse wave shapes to create a TIG-like bead appearance and excellent weld properties. Pulse-On-Pulse controls arc length and heat input together, making it easier to get good penetration.
Pulse MIG
It varies the weld current between peak (high heat) and background (low heat) current to control heat input better. This minimizes warping and burn through on thin materials. Pulse MIG allows flat, horizontal, vertical up, or overhead welding without a slag system. Optimized GMAW-P waveforms are available for aluminum, carbon steel, high strength low alloy steel, stainless steel, and nickel alloys.
TIG Pulse
It helps minimize burn through on thin materials. It can also increase travel speed and result in a smaller bead width. Lower heat input may reduce warpage of parts, especially stainless steel materials. You can turn TIG pulse on or off in the advanced options menu. A single knob controls the pulse frequency from 0.5 - 19.5 Hz, or 17.6 - 303 Hz. The pulse setting automatically regulates the output current between the peak amperage and the background amperage, which is 60% of the peak. The peak pulse % on-time is fixed at 50%.
Power Mode
It uses high-speed regulation of output power to respond quickly to arc changes, like when using a whip technique. This improves MIG welding performance, with low spatter, more uniform bead wetting, and controlled penetration. The benefits are especially noticeable in low voltage applications on thin steel and stainless steel materials.
ArcFX Technology
It's a patented technology that gives instant graphical feedback on how Wire Feed Speed and Voltage affect the weld outcome.
