The Multi-Process Workhorse
The POWER MIG 360MP is a top - notch professional multi - process welding system. It can handle Stick, TIG, MIG, and Flux - Cored welding. It has advanced features like MIG and TIG Pulse Welding, easy 'Ready. Set. Weld.' setup, ArcFX technology, and memory capability. All these features are easily accessible via the color display.
Ready. Set. Weld. Quick Setup
Setting up and checking settings and advanced options is a breeze with this welder. The 7 - inch LED screen is interactive and easy to follow during setup. You can easily adjust settings for all three processes using the push - and - turn digital controls. It can weld 4XXX and 5XXX series aluminum with Pulse Processes. You can feed aluminum in three ways: Push Gun, Spool Gun, or Push - Pull Gun.
Pulse - on - Pulse Mode
When MIG welding aluminum, this mode uses different pulse wave shapes to create a TIG - like bead appearance and great weld properties. It controls arc length and heat input together, making it easier to get good penetration.
Pulse MIG
It varies the weld current between peak (high heat) and background (low heat) to control heat input better. This reduces warping and burn - through on thin materials. You can weld in flat, horizontal, vertical up, or overhead positions without a slag system. Optimized GMAW - P waveforms are available for aluminum, carbon steel, high - strength low - alloy steel, stainless steel, and nickel alloys.
TIG Pulse
TIG Pulse helps prevent burn - through on thin materials. It can increase travel speed and result in a smaller bead width. Lower heat input can reduce warpage, especially for stainless steel. You can turn TIG pulse on or off in the advanced options menu. A single knob sets the pulse frequency from 0.5 - 19.5 Hz or 17.6 - 303 Hz. The pulse setting automatically adjusts the output current between the peak and background amperage (60% of the peak), with a fixed 50% peak pulse on - time.
Power Mode
It uses high - speed output power regulation to quickly respond to arc changes, like when using a whip technique. This improves MIG welding performance, with less spatter, more uniform bead wetting, and controlled penetration. The benefits are very noticeable for low - voltage applications on thin steel and stainless steel.
ArcFX Technology
This patented technology gives instant graphical feedback on how Wire Feed Speed and Voltage affect the weld outcome.

Accessories

Using the Lincoln POWER MIG 360MP is quite straightforward. First, since it doesn't come with an input power cord, make sure you connect it to a proper power source before starting. For setup, use the 7 - inch LED screen. It's interactive, so follow the on - screen instructions to select the welding process you need, like Stick, TIG, MIG, or Flux - Cored. Adjust settings using the push - and - turn digital controls. When welding aluminum, you can choose different ways to feed it, such as with a Push Gun, Spool Gun, or Push - Pull Gun. Different welding modes offer various benefits. For example, the Pulse - on - Pulse Mode is great for MIG welding aluminum as it gives a TIG - like bead. The Pulse MIG mode helps control heat on thin materials. The TIG Pulse can be turned on or off in the advanced options menu, and you can set the frequency with a single knob. When using the Power Mode, it responds quickly to arc changes, improving your welding performance. Regarding safety, always wear proper welding gear like goggles, gloves, and a welding mask. Keep the work area clean and free of flammable materials. For maintenance, regularly check the cables for any damage. Clean the gun and drive rolls to ensure smooth operation. Store the welder in a dry place, and use the storage compartment to keep small accessories organized.
