Description
The Lincoln Tomahawk 30 Air plasma cutting system is all set for super - fast and precise cutting. Its built - in air compressor makes it an ideal, portable cutting tool for anyone. With this cutter, say goodbye to the grinder. Just grab the torch and start cutting in seconds. It also has external air capabilities, so you can use an external compressor if needed. Whether you're working in your garage or out in the field, it's the perfect tool for the job.
Features
- Super Portable - The internal air compressor allows operation where external compressed air isn't available.
- Continuous Output Control - Adjust the arc for different material thicknesses.
- Touch Start System - Initiate the plasma arc reliably without high - frequency issues.
- Fast Arc Restrike - Cut through gaps quickly, even in expanded metal.
- Front Panel Purge Control - Easily set the air flow rate without starting the plasma arc.
- Cool Operation, Long Consumable Life - A variety of torch consumables for many hand - held applications.
- Extra Safety - Lincoln's system checks the correct installation of consumables and the torch.
- Engine Drive Compatible - Power your cutter in remote locations with a recommended Lincoln Electric engine - driven welder/generator.
Consumable Wear
- It's normal for the electrode and nozzle to wear during use.
- Replace electrodes when erosion reaches 0.025 in (0.65mm).
- A green, erratic arc means it's time to replace the electrode right away.
- It's best to replace the KP2842 - 1 electrode and KP2842 - 6 Nozzle 30A as a set.
Recommended Engine Drives
You can operate the Tomahawk 30 Air on engine - driven generators if the 230 - volt auxiliary meets these conditions:
- The AC waveform peak voltage is below 400 volts.
- The AC waveform frequency is between 55 and 65 Hz.
- The RMA voltage of the AC waveform is always greater than 208VAC.

Using the Lincoln Tomahawk 30 AIR Plasma Cutter is a breeze. First, make sure the cutter is properly connected to a power source. If you're in a place without external compressed air, no problem - the built - in air compressor will do the job. Just turn it on and you're ready to start cutting. When using the torch, hold it steady and use the continuous output control to adjust the arc according to the thickness of the material you're cutting. The touch start system makes it easy to initiate the plasma arc without high - frequency hassles. During operation, it's normal for the electrode and nozzle to wear. Keep an eye on them. When the erosion of the electrode reaches 0.025 in (0.65mm) or you see a green, erratic arc, it's time to replace the electrode right away. It's recommended to replace the KP2842 - 1 electrode and KP2842 - 6 Nozzle 30A as a set. If you want to use an engine - driven generator, make sure the 230 - volt auxiliary meets the specified conditions, like the AC waveform peak voltage being below 400 volts, the frequency between 55 and 65 Hz, and the RMA voltage always greater than 208VAC. After each use, store the cutter in a dry place. Check the torch, consumables, and connections regularly to ensure they're in good condition. With proper use and maintenance, your Tomahawk 30 AIR will serve you well for a long time.
