When you're welding, keep in mind that this jacket is designed for light-duty TIG and MIG welding, so don't use it for heavy-duty jobs. For maintenance, you can wash it at home up to 50 times or have it commercially washed 25 times, and it will still keep its flame-resistant properties. After washing, let it dry naturally. Also, check the snaps and leather reinforcements regularly to make sure they're in good condition.
