The ER309LSI 1/16" X 36" X 1 lb rod has a similar composition to ER309L but with more silicon. This extra silicon gives it great wetting action, resulting in super - smooth weld beads. It's an excellent option when you care about the weld's good looks.
Using this Blue Demon ER309LSI TIG rod is quite straightforward. First, make sure your welding area is clean and free of any debris. Set your TIG welder to the appropriate settings for 1/16 - inch stainless - steel welding. Hold the rod at the right angle and slowly feed it into the weld pool as you move along the joint. When you're done welding, let the area cool down naturally. Avoid touching the hot weld until it's completely cooled. For maintenance, keep the rod in a dry place to prevent rusting. If the rod gets dirty, you can gently wipe it with a clean cloth before using it again. That way, you'll always get smooth and good - looking welds.
