Using your Lincoln X-Tractor 1GC Portable Fume Extractor is a breeze. First, connect the power cord to a 120V outlet with a 15A input current. Attach the flexible hose to the base unit using the provided hose - to - tube adapters. You can then choose either a single fume extraction welding gun or a suction nozzle attachment according to your welding application. When you start welding, the automatic start/stop sensor will kick in and start extracting fumes. This not only saves energy but also extends the motor's life. The unit can extract fumes up to 33 feet away, so place it within this range for the best results. When it comes to maintenance, the unit is easy to disassemble. You can clean the polyester filter using the unique rotary air jet system with compressed air without removing it from the gun. Make sure to check the spare sets of motor brushes regularly and replace them when needed.
